Montivo provides accounting and tax services including but not limited to:

The specific scope of services will be outlined in a separate service agreement or engagement letter provided to each client.

3. Client Responsibilities

As a client of Montivo, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and timely information necessary for us to perform our services
  • Respond to requests for documentation and clarification within reasonable timeframes
  • Review all work product and reports we provide and notify us of any errors or concerns promptly
  • Maintain your own copies of all original documents provided to us
  • Inform us of any changes to your business structure, operations, or financial circumstances that may affect our services
  • Pay all invoices according to the agreed payment terms

4. Service Delivery

We deliver our services using cloud-based solutions and electronic document management systems. Each client is assigned a dedicated specialist who serves as your primary point of contact. We conduct monthly data reconciliation and prepare all reports in accordance with applicable deadlines.

Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. We will make reasonable efforts to respond to inquiries within one business day.

5. Fees and Payment

Fees for our services will be communicated in writing before work commences. Payment terms will be specified in your service agreement. We reserve the right to suspend services if invoices remain unpaid beyond the agreed payment period.

Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice. Any fee changes will be communicated to you in writing before taking effect.

6. Confidentiality

We treat all client information as confidential. We will not disclose your financial or personal information to third parties except:

  • When required by law or regulatory authorities
  • When necessary to perform our services (such as filing tax returns with relevant authorities)
  • With your explicit written consent

Our confidentiality obligations continue after the termination of our service relationship.

7. Limitation of Liability

Montivo will perform services with reasonable care and skill in accordance with applicable professional standards. However, we do not guarantee any specific financial outcome or result.

Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We are not responsible for errors or delays caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by clients, or for decisions made by clients based on our advice.

8. Professional Advice

Our services, including tax consultations and tax optimization guidance, are based on current legislation and our professional interpretation thereof. Tax laws and regulations change frequently, and outcomes may vary based on individual circumstances.

Our advice should not be construed as legal advice. For legal matters, we recommend consulting a qualified legal professional.

9. Intellectual Property

All templates, methodologies, processes, and systems used in delivering our services remain the intellectual property of Montivo. Work product created specifically for you becomes your property upon full payment of applicable fees.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the service relationship with written notice. The notice period required will be specified in your service agreement.

Upon termination:

  • All outstanding fees become immediately due
  • We will provide you with copies of your financial records and documents within a reasonable timeframe
  • Our confidentiality obligations continue to apply

11. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from these terms or our services, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation is unsuccessful, disputes will be resolved through appropriate legal channels in accordance with applicable Canadian law.

12. Amendments

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to active clients. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any service agreement or engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between you and Montivo regarding the subject matter herein.
